Position: In person Project Specialist (half time)/Trainee (half-time)

Description: The Los Angeles Behavioral Economics Laboratory (LABEL) seeks a project specialist for the academic year 2023-2024. This position is designed for students who wish to explore research in behavioral sciences before applying to graduate school. The position involves supporting research in behavioral and experimental economics. The project specialist is involved in several
research projects in different stages:
â— Proof of concepts and modeling
â— Software design
â— Data analysis
â— Writing
The position also includes
â— attending to technical and administrative components of the research: maintenance of equipment, implementation and supervision of experimental procedures;
â— supervising students enrolled in research activities in the LABEL training program;
â— participating in the dissemination effort of the lab through news media and social media, as well as through conferences, lectures and workshops (research and community-based).
Start time: mid-august/early September 2023
Length: up to 2 years
Compensation: commensurate with experience
Profile of applicants: Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Economics, Psychology, Neuroscience, Cognitive Science, Computer Science or a related Behavioral Science. Applicants must demonstrate strong technical skills and an ability to work in a lab (collaborative) environment. Applicants who wish to take some time between programs to explore research in behavioral sciences before applying to graduate school are encouraged to apply. Previous holders of this position have been admitted in Masters and PhD programs at Stanford, USC, Ohio State, UC Riverside and UCL.
